Our actuarial department offers our clients the full spectrum of actuarial services. Our specialists boast an exceptional level of expertise. After completing studies in mathematics and economics at university level, they continue to acquire specialised knowledge through training provided by the German Actuarial Association (Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung e. V.) and the Institute of Actuarial Experts for Retirement Pensions (Institut der versicherungsmathematischen Sachverständigen für Altersversorgung e. V.).

Actuarial Consulting includes the following services:

• Annual audits for insurance companies, pension funds, and pension insurance carriers
• Valuation of insurance companies according to the income approach, calculation of an embedded or appraisal value
• Transaction support within the insurance industry, particularly by carrying out due diligence reviews
• Valuation of claims reserves according to actuarial principles (chain ladder method)
• Actuarial audits and other consulting services for life insurance, health insurance and property insurance companies as well as pension funds
• Assuming the position of responsible actuary as defined by § 11a VAG (the German Insurance Supervision Act)
• Preparation of actuarial reports according to the German Commercial Code/Income Tax Act (HGB/EStG) and international financial reporting rules (IFRS/US GAAP) for the valuation of pension commitments and similar obligations (semi-retirement, anniversary bonuses)
• Predicting the growth of future old age pension expenditures
• Other consulting services in the field of (occupational) pension schemes, management of pension plans
