1932


Public accountant Alois Ziss establishes himself in Munich as one of Germany's first public accountants. His nephew Franz Kröninger takes over the company, now called RTK Revisions- und Treuhandgesellschaft.
1952


Dr. Werner Susat becomes the third partner in the previously established Hamburg accounting and law partnership Koob van der Laan; the name of the firm is changed to Koob van der Laan Susat.
1974
The company is renamed SUSAT & PARTNER OHG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.
1979
The public accounting practice of Dr. Gründler-Mundt is integrated into the firm.
1980

The public accounting practice of Dr. Alfred Jäger and the public accounting practice Jacobsen & Partner are also integrated into SUSAT.

Retirement of Dr. Werner Susat

Establishment of the actuarial consulting department in Hamburg

Establishment of the IT and business audit department in Hamburg
1989

The Cologne public accounting partnership Timmel Hillebrand is integrated into the Cologne branch of SUSAT.
1990


SUSAT acquires a share of the German company Grant Thornton GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, becoming one of the two principal shareholders of the German member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd.

Expansion of the business to the new German states with the establishment of SUSAT branches in Berlin and Rostock

GBR Gesellschaft für Beratung und Revision GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft becomes a SUSAT subsidiary focussing on the insurance sector; the company's name is changed to SUSAT Gesellschaft für Beratung und Revision GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Establishment of the SUSAT branch in Leipzig

Closing of the Rostock branch

Establishment of the corporate finance department in Hamburg

SUSAT becomes a partner of the Berlin public accounting partnership Schneider Barthelmes; the company's name is changed to SUSAT Schneider Barthelmes OHG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (SSB).
2001


Establishment of the SUSAT branch in Frankfurt am Main

SUSAT begins sponsoring hockey.
2002
SSB is merged into SUSAT & PARTNER OHG.

Publication of the first edition of the Beck'sches IFRS-Handbuchs (a commentary on the IFRS/IAS) in collaboration with Warth & Klein GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft

Founding of SUSAT Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH

Establishment of the international financial reporting group in Hamburg
2007
SUSAT celebrates its 75-year anniversary.
2008

Integration of ifas AG & Co., a company specialising in company transactions with nine employees. SUSAT steps up M&A and financing consulting activities.
2009





With a staff of over 500 employees, SUSAT is ranked tenth in the Lünendonk study among leading public accounting firms for the second time in a row.

Establishment of the internal audit services department in Hamburg

Dr. Werner Susat dies at the age of 96 on 31 December 2009.
